Day 152- Pre Birthday Party

One of LG's best buddies won't be in town for her party so she surprised Lauren with a little early celebration, so sweet. :)

Day 151- Showing Respect

Last year I signed our Brownie troop up & invited my other daughter's Daisy troop to walk in the Memorial Day parade.  We had about 12 girls participate.

This year I invited our entire Service Unit and we had about 60 girls participate!  I was so excited so many took part in a special event.

Day 150- Urgent Care Visit

Little L was jumping into the pool over and over and decided to try and jump in while holding on to the side of the pool.  It split her little chin open and ended up needed "special glue" aka Dermabond to patch her up.  She was an amazing patient!  So much for swimming this holiday weekend!

Day 149- Hard Worker

He (the man on the roof) works so hard for our family both at work and at home.

I wasn't thrilled about his idea of hoisting the very heavy pressure washer onto the roof so he could clean the eves of the 2nd story.  Thank goodness the only injury was a few tire marks left on the gutters.

Day 148- Kudos!

SO PROUD of her efforts to achieve straight A's all year in 3rd grade!

Day 147-First Signature

This is the first time she's said she's going to write her name and then intentionally wrote an 'L' :)

Day 146- Snack Queen

Anytime I tell her we're going to meet her friends, she packs snacks for everyone.  Today's was Capri Sun's and yogurts, she even remembered spoons.  She loves to share snacks with friends.

Day 145- Ready to Party

LG's party supplies came in today.  

She was very excited to see all the Hello Kitty paper products!

Day 144- Busy Night's Dinner

We rarely eat out during the week, but tonight it just couldn't be helped!

Day 143- Mermaid Sighting

While swimming at Blue Springs, we spotted a beautiful mermaid!

Day 142- Saturday Pool Fun

Saturday was nice and hot, perfect to enjoy the pool with Aunt Amy and soon to be Uncle Michael.

Day 141- Izabella

This is Izabella, N's pet mouse.  We surprised her with it on her birthday in Aug.  Izabella doesn't look so good and I think she might be leaving us soon.  :( I'm trying to prepare Natalie, but denial can be so sweet when you're 6.

Day 140- Bravery

Yesterday we found this snake skin behind our house.  LG was terrified of it, was convinced it was a real snake and that the chicken stir fry we were eating for dinner was actually snake.  "I don't want eat snake!"

I sat down with her, examined it, talked about it, showed her all the parts and after a while she mustered up the courage to touch it with one little finger.  

This morning, she had a burst of bravery (I think she finally believed me that it wasn't a snake) and started to pick it up on her own.  This led to discussions about how the snake took the skin off (she thinks with his fingers), where he is now (she thinks with his mommy) and what the snake's name is (she thinks Bob).  I also used one of the advances in technology that I think is going to give her advances in her knowledge base, You Tube to watch videos of snakes shedding their skin.  This was our favorite.

Day 139- Pioneer Day

Valla has been planning to dress up for Pioneer/Cowboy Day for weeks now.  My ever so talented mom made her pinafore and dress.

Day 138- Last Day of 2yo Preschool

Popsicles to celebrate the end of a great year!

Day 137- Slide Trains

They had fun making a train to go down the slide.

Day 136- Makeup Artist

She was so excited when I said "yes" to her doing her own makeup.

Day 135- Jumping Shampoos

Guess where we went?

LG calls them Shampoo :)

Day 134- Laugh Out Loud

I like comedy clubs.

This was REALLY fun plus great company and it was free!

Day 133- My Little Piggie

Day 130- Biggest Ice Cream Sundae in the World

LG has had some ups and downs with potty training.  As an incentive, Jason promised her the "Biggest Ice Cream Sundae in the World!!" if she did the big deed.  

Today, we celebrated!

Day 129- Mother Did What?

My amazing husband planned a family adventure for all 12 of us to go indoor sky diving. It was SO MUCH FUN!  

(And isn't the gear and facial contortions SO flattering?!)

Day 128 Backyard Memories

This is my father-in-law's backyard.  

He hung the swing just for my girls and they made wonderful memories here.

Day 127- Irony

Yes... the truck is watering the grass as it's raining.

Day 126- Thank You Teachers!!!

Teachers are AMAZING!!  LG was very excited to bring some "lellow" flowers to her preschool teachers.

Day 125- Yoga Fun

One of our Brownie moms is a yoga instructor.  Today the girls had a great time doing yoga with her.

Day 124- Dresses

I made the dress on the left and my mom made the one on the right.

I think it's my first 'did it all by myself' sewing project :)

Day 123- Downtown Lunch

When Jason forgot his cell phone it was a good reason to visit him for lunch.  LG enjoyed feeding the birds the rest of her grilled cheese sandwich.

Day 122- FINALLY!!!

11 years ago we happened upon an amazing chocolate ice cream bar while on vacation in Italy.  It's FINALLY available to buy here!!!

If you ever get a chance to eat the Magnum Double Chocolate ignore the fat content and go for it!
