Day 236- 7 Sweet Years

Day 235- Kitten Fix

We had to get our kitten fix, they're getting bigger.

Day 234- Cheerleader

I couldn't be happier with her first cheer experience.  She's confident, having fun, making friends, working hard, being part of a team & pretty adorable.

Day 233- Party Time

Today was her Summer Luau Birthday Party.  She's planned to have a sun cake for the past 4 months!

Day 232- Consolation Prize

After accompanying me to Toys R Us to get her sister's birthday present and requesting one of everything in the store, I caved and bought her this for fifty cents.

Day 231- Oozing Stromboli

This is what happens when you don't let the pizza dough sit out an hour ahead of time like the directions suggest.  The dough isn't very pliable and tears easily.  Still tasted good!

Day 230- First Day of 3yo Preschool

She's 3 and will go 3 mornings a week this year.  She's beyond excited!

Day 229- Meeting the Teacher

Today was her turn to meet her teacher and new classmates.  Looks like 3 yo know how to sit and listen :)

Day 227- Last Hurrah

Closing out Summer 2011 with a trip to Sea World and their splash pad.

Day 226- Friends

These two have known each other since they were around 10 months old.

Even though we haven't always lived in the same city or even state, we've stayed friends.

Day 225- Last Summer Lunch

Last day of summer, we finally made it to downtown to have lunch with dad and raid his drawer for colored paper clips!

Day 223- Faux Bricks

I pass this median (LMB in front of Tilted Kilt) a few times a week and I'm not sure when the median was painted to look like brick!  Is this a new addition or has it always been there?  In these times where city govt has had to tighten budgets, how does this get through and paid for?!

ps- why does that car look like it has bricks in it's trunk?!

pps- my husband says it's been like that for over 10 years, the fake bricks, not the overloaded caddy

Day 222- Invites

Natalie will turn 7 in a few weeks and today we made her birthday party invites.  We typed up the necessary information then she decorated each card.

Day 221- BFFs

Valla's BFF moved to Salt Lake City last summer and she still misses her like crazy.  Her birthday is coming up and Valla made her BFF rocks.  Put together they make a heart.  She has one and is sending the other to her.  Each has their initials.  

She is so amazingly creative and thoughtful.  I'm so proud of her :)

ps- As much as I love this picture, this should have been a photo of the very large BEAR that was in our garage and then walked around the side of our house but it was dark, I was shocked and he moved too quick for me so... no photo. (this is remarkable because I live in a suburb where bears just shouldn't be but sometimes are.)

Day 220 Brainy Smurfed

They loved the Smurf movie but they love the 3D glasses from the movie even more.  They think it makes them look like Brainy Smurf.

Day 219- Beach Babes

Enjoying our last beach hurrah before school starts again.

Day 218- Hot House

I'm not sure how the organization can have literally over 100 children practice for hours at a time without an unlocked bathroom, but they do.  Our libraries are closed on Fridays so our usual potty was unavailable.  So to the park we went where this bathroom has sat in 90+ degree heat all day.  It had to be nearly 110 degrees in there but was thankfully available because sometimes a kid just has to go!

She's not going to let herself be left out of anything, even cheerleading practice!

Day 215- Playing School

School starts in a week an a half, she is so excited she decided to teach some herself.

Valla's first cheerleading practice.  Poor thing was so nervous.  It was cut short due to lightning.
