Today was picture day for the girls' jazz class!

Day 120- Long Live the King & Queen

Loved watching the Royal Wedding this morning.
Loved we lived in London for 4 months.

Loved watching a great movie (see they CAN make good ones!).

Loved paying only $1 to watch from Red Box.

Day 119- Considerate & Caring

Day 118 Magnolia

Day 117- Pebble Jar Reward

Each of my kids have a pebble jar which they try to fill to the top.  They earn pebbles (actually flat glass marbles) for being good... good listeners, good helpers, good students, good anything.  They can also loose pebbles for being naughty.  When they fill their jar, they pick a reward.  Tonight LG filled her jar for the first time.  Her chosen reward?  To sleep with mom and dad.  She's so proud and so am I :)

(Tips that have worked for those interested in trying... the amount earned or removed is proportionate to the deed.  They can't ask for pebbles.  They can award each other pebbles but may not take them away.  No comparing pebble jars.  The size of the jar can make a big difference!)

Day 116- First Real Drawing

Lauren loves to write and make all kinds of little marks on paper, but tonight was the first time she made some marks and then identified what she drew.  She said, "Look I made sun!"  Her sweet little sun is in the middle of the page :)

Day 115- Silly Easter Straw Glasses

The Easter Bunny's gift of the silly straw glasses were a HUGE hit!

Day 114-Camp Sign

We went camping and each kid made their own camp sign using things from around the campsite.  I loved their signs!

Day 113- Dyed Eggs, the 2011 Editions

They had so much fun and did a great job :)

(Every time we dye eggs I think back to a mom that looked like she "had it all together" and how she commented she'd never dyed eggs with her kids now aged 10 & 8.  She considered it too much of a mess.  If that's what "having it all together" requires, I don't want it.)

Day 112- Cutest Egg Hunters

Day 111- Thoughtful Friend

When I told L we were going to meet some friend for storytime at the zoo she ran to get snack bags, a sharpie and her favorite cheese popcorn.  She made everyone snacks. :)

Day 110- Horses Do Exist

The area I live in used to be all dirt roads and have lots of horses but that was almost 20 years ago.  There are miles and miles of paved trails that criss-cross our county.  It's for bikes, walkers, runners, rollerbladers, and horses.  Today I actually saw a horse using the trail!  

(excuse the awful shot i got from a stop sign, didn't want the rider to see me taking his photo without his permission.  once when i was a teenager a guy took my photo without asking and it freaked me out, my aunt went up to him and gave her a piece of his mind.  don't know if he had bad intentions or was simply snapping shots for a photography class but either way i don't like people to see me take their pictures without their consent.)

Day 109- Passover

I love how excited my non Jewish daughters were to celebrate Passover sedar with our friends.  They loved the traditions, food and company of friends.

Day 108- Best Sunday Spot

This is where we were most of Sunday and it was wonderful.  Even taking refuge under our towels during a light rain shower couldn't dampen our relaxation.

Day 107- Segway Fun

We love Trip Advisor and since we've been to Nassau a few times and seen the regular sites, we went with their #1 rated excursion, an off road Segway adventure.  It was SO much fun.  I really want one of these, not sure where I'd get to use it but there is a pretty cool walking/biking trail near my house.  That could work right?!

Day 106- Somewhere Over the Rainbow

We saw this beauty as we pulled away from port, home and every day stress and sailed toward the Caribbean.

Day 105- Packing or Lack There Of

In approximately 13 hours I will be dropping my littlest with my sister, picking up my husband and boarding a cruise ship where I won't have to help anyone go potty, cut anyone's meals, watch anyone by the water or generally be a mom for 2.5 days.  My lack of packing is not a reflection of my level of excitement!

Day 104- Homemade Tap Shoes

LG found a new use for the pot lids.  A LOUD new use.

Day 103- Playing With Food

Day 102- Beauty of Direct Deposit

Found this is the dryer today.

Glad it's just the pay stub and not the actual check!

Day 101- Air Show

Today we went to an air show.  Those pilots are absolutely NUTS!  We were talking about how we'd throw up if we went in that many circles and spins like they do.  Nat asked, "Do you think they have puke buckets in there with them?"

Day 100-1st Real Swim Day (for adults anyway)

Today was the first day it seems bareable to get in the pool, for me anyway.  These yahoos have been in a few times already.  But today as it crept towards a high of 90 and the pool temp is in the high 70s I took the plunge.

Day 99- Super Swimmer

LG started the week screaming and crying at her ISR refresher lessons.  After just 4 days of 10 minute practices, she's got her mojo back!  She's going to have SO much fun in the pool this summer.

Day 98- Sweet Shoppe

The Daisy Troop went to the local gelato shop with their cookie profits, yum!

Day 97- Paint Your Own Pottery

The Brownie Troop decided to go paint some pottery with their cookie profits.

Day 96- The Skink

This guy was bobbing in our pool.  He's a skink and after a little research we think he's an endangered species.  Nat wanted to take him to the zoo, we was our guest for 24 hours then we released him to go find another skink and make more skinks.

Day 95- Decorated Egg

Valla and my mom went to a 4 hour class and worked very hard on making a beautiful decorated Ukrainian Egg.  The class was geared towards adults and the instructor was so impressed with my 9 year old's ability to keep up and follow directions,  I am too!

Day 94- Glasses

The oldest was at a slumber party so we took the younger two to the arcade and used left over tokens from our last visit.  Free Fun!
